Shadow Performances on Thursday October 31st throughout the day.  Dress Rehearsal is on Wednesday.  Any items for the haunted classroom that are brought in must have your name marked on masking tape on the item.  All props/items must go home at the end of the performance day.  

MATH: PAST DUE When would it be appropriate to use estimation or a precise measurement during these tasks?

POETRY:
  • TASK1: Let's create a thread bringing together your "My Best Friend is a Metaphor" poem.
PART 1: Creatively type your poem and include within the page any pictures or illustrations that supports your writing.  Follow this up with a webcam recording of you reciting your poem.
PART 2: Once everyone has shared their poem, students will be randomly assigned to provide descriptive feedback on two students' poems and two choice poems.I can't wait to hear the poetry written by the students of Room 308  DUE Monday Nov. 4th
  • TASK 2: - Write your first draft Beauty of Pollination Poem with the list of descriptive words inspired by the Louie Schwartzberg: The hidden beauty of pollination. (scroll to 3:20 to begin viewing the timelapse video)  DUE Friday Nov. 1st
  • TASK 3: - find a poem online/book and scan/upload or type up the poem into a new post in your Poetry Kidblog; analyze and identify any poetic devices that the poet used and how it helped to convey a message to the audience PAST DUE 
Action Plan: refer to your action plan (this should be realistic for you to follow through on) on the a local/gobal issue that concerns you, how might you begin to help solve this issue and plan out your storyboard on the provided template.  DUE Wednesday October 30th
